Year 6 Wardens Camping Trip 2013- Day 1

First thing we did was put up the tents, which took a while, and then, once everyone had a tent to sleep in, we all unloaded our bedding and set our beds up with help from Mr and Mrs Appleton and Emma Roberts (THANK YOU!). The first activity we did was kite making. While doing kite making we had to first design our kites by folding, cutting and lots of sellotaping. Once we had done our designs we were allowed to start making our best copies. We went to the beach twice; 1st time was just to paddle at ankle height but some came back with a few wet clothes. The 2nd time we went was to make big art using materials found across the stones and sand on the beach area and then took some photos from the cliff top.
We had lot's of help in the kitchen from willing volunteer's to help prepare dinner. We had salad, including tomato, lettuce, cucumber and grated carrot, and vanilla crunch for pudding and pizza for the main. Everyone is enjoying themselves so far and loved their dinner, wanting more.

By Grace Watts, Sophie Appleton and Alicia Whiting.

P.S From Mrs Mansell.
Everyone is well, full up and looking slightly tired (!).  All children have been exceptionally well behaved as usual and are looking forward to a night under canvas.
