Sports Fortnight - Day 8 & 9 - Biathlon/Triathlon

Thank you Mrs Godbold and Mr Skeggs for an incredible last 2 days with our children participating in either a Biathlon or a Triathlon. They absolutely loved the challenge that this presented them with! You can see the smiles on their faces as they are running around with their hats and goggles still on - proper athletes! Just Sports Day to go now...

Sports Fortnight - Day 6 - Athletics

Thank you to Mrs Godbold and Mr Skeggs who ran the Athletics sessions today. Hooray for the sunshine! The children loved the experiences of high jumping, long jumping and javelin throwing. Keep an eye out for these events in the Paris Olympic Games!

Sports Fortnight - Day 5 - Strength Training

Thank you so much to Nicki from Airborne Fit for delivering super strength training sessions today! Despite the weather, the children had a brilliant time strengthening up their muscles ready for Sports Day!

Sports Fortnight - Day 4 - Basketball

Thank you to coach Harry Laws from Ipswich Basketball Club for delivering brilliant basketball sessions today! Thank goodness that the sun returned so we could enjoy the time spent out on the playground.

Sports Fortnight - Day 3 - Swimming

Thank you to Mr Skeggs for running the swimming races today! The children loved getting competitive in their house colours against one another and could put into practise all of the skills that they have been taught this half-term.

If your child(ren) would like to swim outside of school, Leiston Leisure Centre hold their own swimming lessons under Places for Leisure (https://www.placesleisure.org/centres/leiston-leisure-centre/centre-activities/swimming-lessons/). Alternatively, our local swimming club is Leiston Swimming Club, which Mr May is part of (https://www.leistonswimclub.org.uk/).

Opening Ceremony 2024

Thank you to everyone who came to watch our Opening Ceremony this morning! The children did an amazing job at representing their continent from the Olympic Rings to celebrate this year's Paris Olympic Games. What a fantastic way to begin our Sports Fortnight; bring on two weeks of new sporting experiences!
