Horstead: Day 1
After leaving school we took 39 very excited children to the Castle Museum where we explored the exhibits, we then had our lunch and left for the Horstead Centre. When we arrived we were met by the lovely staff who explained the rules to us all and we were then able to find our dorm rooms and sort out our beds. We are currently playing in the common room and games room whilst we wait for our tea.

First Aid Training
Year 5 and 6 children were given the opportunity to be involved in first aid training. St. John's Ambulance members arrived to train the children in basic triage, and other useful information when dealing with minor injuries. This is sure to be incredibly valuble and potentially life-saving training which was very enjoyable to be a part of.

Camping- The Fish!
Almost forgot to mention- we caught a fish last night! Just the one. It was a little sea bass. We threw him back into the sea.
Year 3 Camping Trip Day 4- Evening
Morning all!
We are going to be busy packing away today so might not get the opportunity to blog again. Thought we would leave you with a collection of last nights photos.
The BBQ tea was a big hit with children rolling out of their seats after thirds!
We had another fantastic evening. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sunny evening air, running, playing, fishing, jumping, and finally toasting marshmallows.
After a bedtime story, all children dragged their tired feet off to the tents and not another peep was heard until 7.10 am.
The children have been an absolute delight and despite being quite tired, we will miss them all dearly tonight :(

Year 3 Camping- Day 4
It was quite an early start this morning! After a cup of tea, we made breakfast and then made our own packed lunch.
We had a fabulous day on the mere. So many giggles and talented rowers and beautiful sunshine.
We are very much looking forward to our BBQ, followed by an evening of sea fishing. More photos to follow later.
