Thank you to everyone who came to watch our Opening Ceremony this morning! The children did an amazing job at representing their country from this years' Netball World Cup. What a fantastic way to begin our Sports Fortnight; bring on two weeks of new sporting experiences!
Saturn and Mars had a fantastic day at Colchester Castle today! The children were able to build models of roundhouses and Roman villas as well as go underground into the vaults of the castle, which used to be beneath a temple. The children loved seeing all of the artefacts in the museums and even seeing the prisons! Thank you to Mr Moss for organising this brilliant trip!
A few more photos from our second day. Beautiful weather and a fantastic afternoon.
Enjoy
We had a beautiful afternoon at the Aldeburgh Sailing club and cannot wait to go back next week. A huge thank you to all the team.
A huge well done to our Year 3 and 4 children who performed exceptionally well in their dress rehearsal today. It was incredible to see how much acting and singing talent we have in Kelsale along with such confident children who brought Oink! to life. The children and staff watching in the audience were laughing along at the many puns and thoroughly enjoyed the performance! Mr Moss and I know that you will be just as brilliant in the two remaining performances.
In Collective Worship this afternoon, we were lucky enough to receive a mini concert from a German band: The Trouble Notes. They describe themselves as an "Acoustic Dance Music" band, which is a unique blend of the genre that sits at the crossroads of the raw energy and organic instrumentation of Folk music and the modern sounds of contemporary rock, roots music, and new-age electronica.
The children absolutely loved listening and engaging with their music and were inspired as the musicians reinforced that they could be anything that they dreamed of.

Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers at: the Tide Mill Museum, Woodbridge Museum and The Sutton Hoo Ship's Company for our fantastic "Follow The Ship" trip for Year 3 and 4.
Our day was jam-packed full of many exciting activities as we were able to: explore the Tide Mill and Woodbridge Museum; see the recreation of the Longship being built; have a go at some riveting; create our own brooches; and be archaeologists by excavating!
Thank you and well done to the children for representing Kelsale so well! Also, thank you to Mr Moss for organising the trip and to Miss Kendrick for volunteering to help out.
Here are the websites for the places that we visited. They are open to the public and the children would love the opportunity to show you around!
