Sport's Fortnight Day 5- Sponsored Wake 'n' Shake
Wow, what an afternoon. Beautiful sunshine, fantastic music and by far most importantly, a fabulous group of enthusiastic, joyful children, dancing the afternoon away. It is one of those days when I feel so privileged to work with such an adorable group of children and such devoted, fun-loving colleagues.
Thank you to all the family and friends who came out to support and join in with the dancing. It created a lovely atmosphere.
Now time to collect that sponsor money, and lets see how well we do.

Sport's Fortnight Day 4- Wacky Races
The whole school got together on the field this afternoon
for a series of Wacky Races. We combined
fancy dress, sacks, benches and bean bags, to name a few, in a series of highly
competitive, but amusing races, enjoyed by all.
A huge thank you to the 10 year 6 children who ran around
setting up the track all afternoon. xx
Sport's Fortnight Day 3- Country Dancing Festival
A huge thank you to Annie Clark, Sizewell Gap and the many children who joined us yesterday morning.

Sport's Fortnight Day1- Golf with class 1
A huge thank you to Mrs Taylor for taking time time to share her golf skills with us today and tomorrow. Some fab shots from Mrs Gill, who spends her evenings editing and sharing them with me. We've agreed that the work is worth it, as these are amazing memories for all the children.

Year 4 WCET Guitar concert
A beautiful day out with the Year 4 children. They played so well, and behaved impeccably. So much so, that other teachers approached myself and Mr Moss to say how fabulous our children's behaviour was. We are so proud of them. A big thank you to Mr Butcher for all his hard work and to the children for being such a joy to spend time with.xx

New Pool
After months of work, the new pool is near to completion. A huge thank you to Andy Newson for all his hard work, many hours in the sweltering heat to ensure we have a pool ready for the end of term.
The pool was taken back to ground level and started again. This would not have been possible without the funds raised by The Friends, and generous donations from Parish Council Bonfire proceeds, 2 district Councillors Community Enabling budgets and the Governors’ fund. Thank you to all of these for their generosity.
In addition, we would like to say a big thank you to Saxmundham Fire Brigade who assisted with the filling of the pool as part of their training exercise. It was filled in record time.

Bikeability
Two very patient men from Premier Sport have been in school all week taking the Bikeability course. The Year 5 children are enjoying the experience and learning a lot of road safety. We look forward to celebrating this success when we receive the final results on Friday. 😟

Years 4, 5 and 6 at IWM Duxford
What an amazing day! The weather was fab, the coach drivers were very helpful, the traffic was light and the children were superbly behaved.
There was so much to see in each of the hangers, plus we were treated to a stunning acrobatics display by one of the Spitfires exhibited at the museum.
We returned to school, tired, but in excellent spirits having enjoyed a fantastic day with our beautiful children. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.
A big thank you to all the staff at IWM Duxford, who shared their expertise with us willingly, and a big thank you to Mrs Wilson for giving up her time to help us out.

Spinning Wheel Theatre present 'The Secret Garden'.
Classes 3, 4, 5 and 6 were lucky enough to enjoy a visit from Spinning Wheel Theatre Company today. The team spent the morning setting up props, costumes, lighting rigs etc... and intriguing the pupils in school as they saw the set grow in front of their eyes.
At 1:15pm, the children entered the hall, with the school lights turned down low and were treated to Over an hour and a half of fabulous acting.
A huge thank you to the company for their time, effort and entertainment. Another thank you to Michael Gower, formally our local Suffolk County Councillor for subsidising the event.
