Eastertide Church Service

This morning, the whole school walked down to St Mary and ST Peter's church, Kelsale for an Eastertide church service, organised by Miss Coppenes-Browne and other staff members.
A range of different activities were set up around the church building and church yard, giving the children the opportunity to explore and reflect and pray.  They had time to contemplate themselves and their skills, worries and dreams and pray for themselves, their families and others around the world.  Many of the adults were moved by the children's ability to reflect and think of others before themselves.
Overall, a very enjoyable and thought provoking service.

School Farm and County Fair- Trinity Park

Years 3 and 4 were lucky enough to be invited to The School Farm and Country Fair at Trinity Park today.  It was a bright but chilly morning as we boarded the coach, excited and ready for fun.

We were not disappointed.  The entire day was full of activities, displays and baby animal cuddling.  We tasted a variety of food, watched displays and ended the afternoon with a ride on a tractor and trailer.
An absolutely fantastic day with some beautifully behaved children (and adults).  A big thank you to Mrs Drew for organising the activity and to all the adult helpers for their support.  Please enjoy all the photos below.

Rocket Science Day 1

Class 4 are taking part in a very exciting experiment, in collaboration with UK Space Agency and RHS school campaign.
Today was day 1 in our experiment in which we sowed some rocket seeds, half of which have travelled to space and spent six months aboard the Intentional Space Station.  The aim of the investigation: to discover whether time spent in zero or reduced gravity will effect the growth of the rocket plants.

Year 4 STEM day at Alde Valley High School

On Tuesday of this week, all year 4 children went to Alde Valley High school to take part in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activity day.   The event was  well organised by the staff at Alde Valley High school.
The timetable was full of problem solving activities including a tomato transporting zip wire vehicle and a drag racer.
The children had a fantastic day and were superbly well behaved.  A credit to our school.
