World Book Day 2016

The playground was a sew of colour as the children arrived this morning.  Wands, sparkling shoes and onesies large and small were used to complete a selection of amazing characters.  The princesses scurried off to their castles as the collection of witches and wizards marched off to potions lesson, and the Wally's and Wanda's tried their hardest to blend into the background.
We all joined together in the hall where Burglar Bill (aka Mrs Taylor) gave all the children the opportunity to show off their costume.
The children then went off to classes, where some took part in book related activities from character debates (Top book character 2016) to book making.  We had to be on our best behaviour as Miss Trunchbull roamed the corridor.
Meanwhile Lucy and Natasha were busy in the kitchen preparing our Book day lunch- Mr Stink's chicken (it certainly tasted lovely).

A big thank you to Mrs Gill for her fabulous photos, which show off some of the costumes beautifully.

A fabulous day!
